Tabachka Rock Church

We have been told that there are rock churches throughout this region of Bulgaria. There was one right in the town of Tabachka. Much more humble than the fresco walls of the Ivanovo rock monastery, but lovely nonetheless. Here is Patty standing at the entrance, the bridge into Tabachka below her.

And these beautiful snail-covered grasses! From a distance they looked like strange flower blossoms, but up close you could see they were hundreds upon hundreds of tiny snails. They seemed to be everywhere.
