Halloween

A monkey, a butterfly and a Viking.
Saturday night we went to a Halloween party.

Much of the evening was spent like this, racing around at top speed! Note, Freya's very cute chicken costume, and Gwendolyn trailing behind.
And the next night, trick-or-treating. Gwendolyn teamed up with her favorite girlfriends, Freya and Maya, and visited a good number of the houses in Gamboa. As the night wore on, the costumes came off. This is my favorite photo of the night.

Happy 70th Birthday Toby!

It's hard to even keep track of all the many travels that have taken place over the last two months. The first was a trip to Chocorua, to celebrate my dad's 70th birthday. Here's then and now, same charisma, but now more of a twinkle in the eye?

We had a great time catching up with everyone.

Playing in the lake.

Gathering at the dock.

Painting birthday cards.

Playing games (this one, a cross between frisbee, tennis and croquet?).

Climbing (small) mountains.

And we finally got a better sense of what genes might be contributing to Gwendolyn's super curly hair.

All culminating in an amazing Chocorua Lake birthday cake, complete with the house, the bridge and an extremely large and happy moose.

Happy Birthday, Toby!

Big Sister

We have some exciting news. I'm pregnant, the baby is due in March! We're a little nervous, but very excited and very happy.

Gwendolyn is taking the news well. She has been proudly telling her friends that she's going to be a "BIG SISTER!" We're not sure if she quite knows what this means. There are a few Dora the Explorer episodes about being a big sister, but Dora's baby siblings have magic blankets and can fly. I hope her expectations aren't too high for her little brother.

Rainy Season

We've been very slow in writing blog posts lately, but there are a bunch to come. After many travels, we are back in Panama, enjoying the full-on rainy season. Umbrellas, rain jackets, boots, and puddle stomping - bring it on!
