Building the Arena
One of the main questions I am interested in for this postdoc is species differences in aggression, boldness/shyness, response to novelty... and how these temperament differences map on to differences in foraging ecology. To ask these questions in a standardized way, I needed a set task for the bats to perform: investigation of a novel arena. And who better to help me build the arena?

How wonderful to have the blog back, and what delightful photos of the Wren. Are German bats different from Bulgarian bats? Panamanian bats? Loved the bath and crawling in the grass pix.
