This morning a red-crowned woodpecker flew into our living room window. He was stunned for a few minutes, but we gave him a little sugar water and he revived quickly. Gwendolyn was really excited. She took a good look at him, and a few minutes later he flew off.

Wow! The Wren has been a bird whisperer since the day she arrived on the scene. Clearly, this understanding is sensed by the avian family.
BTW - Those are stickers on her head, not bird droppings.
Ok - I must admit, I looked at that picture a couple of times to try to figure that out. I had decided on eggshell because it fit the story.
