Just after David's family left, we had a great visit from a great aunt, Gwen Wren's great aunt Christina.

Christina came laden with gifts, and yummy pumpkin cake. Gwendolyn was pretty pleased with both.

But above all, she loved walking around and around and around with Christina - showing her leaf piles in every possible corner.

Here they are - continuing to explore out in the cold as the rest of us relaxed comfortably in front of the wood stove. (The ribbons are to keep the migrating birds to keep from crashing into the window, we've started to get quite a few birds hitting the windows but none once we put up the ribbons.) Finally, after quite a bit more romping, Gwen Wren let Christina bring her inside again. Very sad to see her go!

It appears that almost all of Chocorua was a giant leaf pile.
