A Walk by the Lake

We took the dog and the baby for a walk by the lake today. And on the way something amazing happened! Tulip, who has been pretty much ignoring Gwen Wren since birth (much as she is in this photo), leaned over and gave her a lick!

The moment was brief, and then the ignoring resumed. Neither party seemed overly affected by this event, but David and I interpreted it as the milestone it was.

Tulip was very glad to get to the water...

...and chase some sticks.

And the baby seemed to enjoy the outing too.
