Here is the Wren, meeting one of my favorite toads in the world, Bufo marinus, the cane toad (a pest in some places, but native here). That funny expression on her face is her trying out the word, "Toooad!"
The interest was not entirely mutual, but Gwendolyn was impressed!
Warning to the uninitiated: Bufo marinus has glands that produce a powerful toxin, so don't let your kids handle them! And wash your hands if you pick one up.
